AHCB is the abbreviation for The Alumni Hillgrove Concert Band.
A: The Letter 'A' stands for the word 'Alumni' which represents our status as the ex-members, and is being placed in front of the letters 'HCB', which stands for 'Hillgrove Concert Band', symbolises our initial presence and contributions before the juniors in the main band do.
HCB: The 'H', 'C', and 'B' are being designed as though they are dancing shows the dynamism of the main band, and being sticked together with the letter 'A', signifies our relationship. The distortion in the letter 'A' signifies our activeness and creativeness, and the fact that this letter always arrows upward reflects our enthusiasm and the will to soar.
Colours: The vibrancy of gold colour signifies dynamisn and innovation. The strong black colour reflects the strength and firm commitment of our members. The white background signifies purity and cleanliness in the management process.
The demi-semi-quaver in the AHCB Logo symbolises our role, and the reason for using a demi-semi-quaver (first from right) and not any other notes reflects our precision in our music, given the small value of the note. Also, the three 'tails' of the demi-semi-quaver (middle) were derived from the three tree trunks in Hillgrove Secondary School's Logo (first from left). It shows our passion and commitment to our alma mater.
Withinin the demi-semi-quaver there is a circle which glows very well reflects our young and dynamic team, and our bright future.
